Wednesday XXXI of the holiday week in Ordinary Time
Letter of Paul to the Philippians 2 12-18.
Q uindi beloved, obedient as ever, not only as in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
God is at work in you to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Do everything without grumbling and without criticism,
that you may be blameless and simple, the children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding high the
word of life. Then on the day of Christ, I can brag that it did not run in vain or labored in vain.
And even if my blood should be spilled in sacrifice and libation on the bid of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
Likewise you also be glad and rejoice with me.
27,1.4.13-14 Psalms.
D the David. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, whom shall I fear?
One thing I ask of the Lord, that will I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to taste the sweetness of the Lord and to behold his temple.
I am sure of the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord, be strong, take heart and wait for the Lord.
Gospel of Jesus Christ Luke 14.25-33.
S Iccom many people went with him, he turned and said:
"If anyone comes to me and hate not his father, his mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters and even his own life can not be my disciple.
Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me, can not be my disciple.
which of you wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
To avoid that, if the foundation and are not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build
, but was not able to finish the job.
Or what king, in war against another king without first sitting down to examine whether it is able with ten thousand men whom he is meeting with twenty thousand?
If not, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation to peace.
So whoever of you does not renounce all his possessions, can not be my disciple.
Comment by Father Giulio Maria Scozzaro
In another comment I've explained why you need to bring more love to Jesus that the same family. You have Jesus gave his life for all of us, dying on the cross between torture and torture. Redeemed us with his Precious Blood.
Nobody has given his life for us as Jesus
Today calls for caution, to act wisely in every aspect of our lives. It is important not to ever act with recklessness, not to make decisions on instinct, because it almost always ends badly. There is cautious in speech, in planning, acting, leading to reflection before proceeding.
Many act with a blind obedience to disordered passions, instincts ruler who enslaves and always leads away from Jesus, the better choices.
And follow your instincts without discernment means making choices, and without foresight, wisdom. This is how the personal and family bankruptcies. Many do what they say in life and can never be deemed oppressed by Satan. They should sincerely reflect on the lives they lead and see if they are involved in spiritual life.
"Which of you wants to build a tower without first sitting down to count the cost and see if he has the means to complete it?".
Frustration today affects nine out of ten people, who live just nell'avvilimento, unfulfilled, up to the depression. They can not understand the real reason for the suffering and perhaps seek healing through prayer.
But to heal you must first solve the underlying problem, you should seriously fighting instinct or the disordered passions with a deep prayer, confession and the Eucharist, penance, fasting and the practice of virtue.
This is spiritual life, otherwise it is a hobby.
"Stop and look in you same and see as are sinners. " These words are contained in the message yesterday that found at the bottom.
bless you and I pray for you all. Pray for me every day in the Mass and the rosary.
About
to give up something that I particularly like, and offer it to the Lord for all who suffer in body and spirit.
Thought
one who by words, speeches, actions, give scandal, not a friend, is a murderess soul. (St. John Bosco)
