Receive the Spirit, not as slaves but as beloved brother.
from the letter of Paul to Philemon
Brother, your love has given me great joy and consolation, because by thee the saints were deeply comforted.
For this reason, despite having full freedom in Christ to order what is appropriate, in the name of charity rather urge you, me, Paul, as well as are old, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ I pray for Onesimus, my son, that I created in chains, he, that one day I was useless, but now is useful to you and me. I'll return, he is so dear to me.
I wanted to keep it with me because I assistesse for you, now that I am in chains for the gospel. But I would not do anything without your opinion, why do the good that is not forced, but voluntary. For this reason perhaps it was separated from you for a moment that you might have him back forever, no longer as a slave but more than a slave, as a beloved brother, first for me, but even more for you, as a man and as a brother in the Lord.
So if you consider me a partner, receive him as myself. And if you did something wrong or owes you anything, put it on my behalf. I Paul write it with my own hand: I will pay. Not to say that you are my debtor, and your very self! Yes, brother! I can get this in the Lord to 'refresh my heart in Christ!

RESPONSORIAL PSALM (Ps 145)
Chorus: Blessed is he whose help the God of Jacob.
The Lord secures justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry
.
The Lord sets prisoners free.
The Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord
raises up those who fell,
the Lord loves the righteous,
the Lord protects strangers.
he sustains the orphan and the widow,
but the way of the wicked.
The Lord reigns forever,
your God, O Zion, from generation to generation.
Gospel Acclamation (John 15:5)
Alleluia, alleluia.
I am the vine, ye are the branches, says the Lord;
who abides in me, and I in him will bear much fruit.
Alleluia.
GOSPEL (Luke 17.20-25)
The kingdom of God is among you.
+ From the Gospel according to Luke
At that time, the Pharisees Jesus asked, "When will the kingdom of God?". He replied: "The kingdom of God is not to attract attention, and no one will say, 'Here it is," or "There he is." For, lo, the kingdom of God is among you. "
he said to his disciples: "The days will come when you will want to see one of the days of the Son of man, but you will not see. You say: "There he is," or, "Here it is" Do not go, do not follow them. For as the lightning, flashing, shining from one end of heaven, so will the Son of man in his day. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. " Word of the Lord

Martino (Pannonia c. 316 - Candes, France, 397), he revealed, still soldier and catechumen, his evangelical charity by giving half of the mantle to a poor benumbed by the cold. After the baptism began under the guidance of St. Hilary (339) and founded in Ligugé at Poitiers, a monastery (360), the first in the West. He was ordained priest and bishop of Tours (372), became an apostle of rural people with the help of the monks of the abbey of Marmoutiers (Tours). Joined the communication of the Gospel unceasing work of social elevation of the peasants and shepherds. His figure has fundamental importance in the history of the Church in Gaul, from the pastoral viewpoint, liturgical and monastic. Very popular saint, confessor is the first non-martyr to be revered with the liturgical rite. His "testimony" was recalled by the Nov. 11 martyrology Geronimo (c s!. VI).
